Great car. Very different to my XRAYS, but all good. Build instructions could be better - but this is not a novice's car!
I like the precise steering linkage, and the adjustable spur gear position. I like the swivel links on the wishbone pivots and the inbound rear shocks. A cleverly designed chassis!
Afte-r just one short drive, I am very impressed with the handling at factory default settings. I expected it to be 'edgy' - better in the hands of a more expert driver - but this is so docile and predictable, even with the 20 wt shock oil, that it was an absolute joy and was quickly battling for the lead (top heat on carpet).
Just one gripe - access to the top motor mount screw is obscured by the opposite bulkhead, so a cranked or multi-angle driver is needed, not the star driver that comes with the kit.
Now I need to get some wrenches to fit the nuts and adjusters !!!!!
I still like my XRAY 09s, but am happy to recommend this as a great car! |
